Fakenham Junior School celebrated reading and books along with many other schools from around the country. Throughout the week we listened out for the reading bell and stopped to engage in silent reading. Friendly visitors popped into the school and read stories to groups of children, some were read in Polish. Children swapped classrooms and read to each other, demonstrating both cooperative learning, and a willingness to support and help each other. On Thursday we celebrated National Book Day and the whole school dressed up and took part in a parade. The costumes on show were fantastic, imaginative and a sight to behold! Well done to all who took part and the efforts you made to make the day extremely fun and exciting. In addition, a big thank you to all the parents who came to the parade and celebrated the schools success alongside the children. It made the day, and week, feel extra special!
